It’s an exciting time here at Digitize towers; Cadbury Egg and Spoon are currently live with a new interactive VoD campaign on 4oD. We offer many options for iVoD formats on 4oD, in this case Cadbury are running with our Ad Extend format, the first to run on 4OD.The Ad Extend format gives the advertiser the option to showcase a longer ad, a great option for movie trailers, or share extra content. View the format in action here:
The Cadbury Egg and Spoon VoD ad runs as usual with an interactive bug offering the consumer the opportunity to view more content. Once the consumer rolls over the interactive bug the regular VoD ad pauses while the unit expands to reveal the extra content. Cadbury’s offer the consumer the chance to learn how to do the intricate dance from the ad and learn how to make Mexican bean shakers from the product packaging. Consumers can click on any part of the unit to be brought through to the Cadbury Egg and Spoon home page. The consumer can exit the extra content at any stage and continue to watch their chosen programme as planned.
Cadbury were able to use available assets that were built by our production partner Innovid for the same campaign running in the UK. This allowed them to get all the benefit of the campaign here without the production cost. This is a great option for any advertisers running campaigns in the UK.
VoD usage is growing among 15-34s who tailor their own viewing schedules around their busy lifestyles. We’ve seen a huge increase in demand for innovative/interactive VoD formats in the last few months. Advertisers are now recognising the captive environment offered by VoD is the perfect place to engage the consumer. We’re very excited to see what new and exciting VoD campaigns advertisers develop to capture the attention of their key targets in 2014. Carole O’Dwyer, Account Manager & Hopeless Romantic
