It has been an eventful month in the entertainment world in May. We had the much awaited return of Twin Peaks, the summer started to show it’s face and the sun came out, only to have a black hole seared in it one more time when Chris Cornell sadly passed away.
Spotify snapped up a new French AI start up called Niland, which will unlock the ability to make recommendations much more smarter and personal to every Spotify user.
We also learned how amateur musician Joep Beving took his talent and hobby to Spotify and had not one but four very interested record companies vying for his signature before being signed by Deutsche Grammophon (DG). In the words of Ellie Goulding it would seem that “anything can happen” and with the help of Spotify, dreams really do come true 😉
Ed Sheeran featured in the Irish top 10 twice, with ‘Shape of you’ and ‘Galway Girl’ but we already have some office favourites that might knock him from the top spot for next month….Despacito anyone!?
